Marshall 1962 'Blues Breaker' 2x12 Handwired 30 Watt Combo Amp

Marshall

The original Model 1962 is known as the "Bluesbreaker" because Eric Clapton  used it during his reign with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. Plug in your axe, sustain a note and discover for yourself Clapton's famous "woman tone." That warm bass and vibrant top end is ideally suited for making an expressive sound that your audience will truly feel.

Part of the magic to the sound of the Vintage Series amps is that they're hand wired in the Marshall factory, using specially sourced components. An example is the GZ34 rectifier tube (valve) that helps the Model 1962 produce that famous output stage compression and creamy sustain.

The 1962 combo is loaded with a pair of 12" reissue Celestion Greenback 25-watt speakers that recreate that classic sixties tone. Footswitchable tremolo effect is also included.

This floor model has small cosmetic damage, but is fully warranteed.

Marshall 1974X Handwired 18 WATT 1x12 Combo Amp

Marshall
Model: 1974x

The 1974X is an authentic re-issue of the fabled model 1974 combo of the late sixties (1966-1968). Just like the original, it boasts a point-to-point, handwired, tagboard circuit housed in an aluminium chassis, plus a valve-driven tremolo circuit. At the very heart of its simple, but effective, two channel design can be found six valves: three ECC83s in the preamp, an EZ81 rectifier and a pair of cathode biased EL84s in the power stage. As the output and mains transformers are vital components in any amplifier as they influence performance, sound and feel, Marshall worked extremely closely with their associates at Dagnall in order to duplicate the original, "off-the-shelf" transformers in all areas. Made in England.

Marshall 2203KK JCM 800 Head

Marshall

The 2203KK is based on Kerry King's favored JCM800 head, a head King calls "The Beast." His JCM800 had been at the core of Kerry's sound for years, both live and in the studio - that is until Marshall created Kerry's ultimate amplifier, the 2203KK. This 100-watt behemoth is equipped with a trio of ECC83s in the preamp and a quartet of KT88 driving the power stage.

Marshall Jimi Hendrix Full Stack

Marshall
Model: Super 100JH
Serial: #413 out of 600

The Super 100JH is an extremely straightforward amplifier. Its two channels — High Treble and Normal — each have two inputs (High and Low sensitivity) and separate Loudness (volume) controls. Both channels share the amplifier's four tone controls: Treble, Middle, Bass and Presence. It contains three ECC83 (12AX7) valves in the preamp and a quartet of KT66 valves in the power amp, the later being standard issue in mid-sixties Marshall amplifiers.

As the mains (power) and output transformers are vital to the performance, sound and feel of an all-valve amplifier, Marshall went to Drake, the company which supplied the transformers used in the original Super 100 heads. Fortunately, all of the original spec documentation remains intact in Drake's archives and the resulting reissue transformers mirror the all-important electrical behavior of the originals exactly.

The Jimi Hendrix Stack's two 4x12 speaker cabinets — the angled 1982AJH and straight 1982BJH — have been designed to recreate the majestic look of the original, pinstriped stacks that Jimi used. Just like the circa 1966 original straight-fronted 1982 cabinet, the 1982BJH is nearly 7" taller than a standard Marshall 4x12", adding further to the impressive look of the stack. Also, just like the original 1982s, both JH cabs are loaded with Celestion G12C 25 Watt speakers, which have been specially developed by Marshall and Celestion to duplicate the sound of the original speakers found in authentic reference cabinets from that era.
